Thank you for your prayer, God has provided me a job in which I can work to save up money to do ministry, but also God has slowly been opening doors to various ministry dedicated to prisoners in Taiwan that may include Muslims. As most of you know I want to reach out to the Muslims and I do this by going to the mosque. I do not know what this will do or if I can actually reach out to anyone, or will Satan use this to suck me back into Islam. I found out about a ministry called “Lighthouse Prison Ministry” which is a ministry that visits various prisons in Taiwan that locks up foreigners, and because Taiwan is a family based society all the needs are met through families. However foreigners have a severe disadvantage because they have no families and prisons in Taiwan do not always provide everything needed, but they allow families to bring stuff in.

In the few weeks that I have spent visiting the mosque I discovered that nearly half (maybe more) of all the Muslims at that mosque are foreigners. I do not know if this is a trend with all Muslims in Taiwan but I do know that very few Taiwanese are Muslim because of the culture and also that most Chinese feel that they are betraying their culture by going with any other religion such as Islam or Christianity. Granted it’s good that most Taiwanese doesn’t want to join Islam due to culture, but this also works against missionaries in Taiwan where people have to hide their decision to accept Christ for fear of persecution by family. I feel that I will have a better chance of reaching out to Muslims by ministering to foreigners in Taiwan, many of whom are heavily discriminated against if they are not white, and this is the purpose in my desire to be involved in a foreigner prison ministry.

While I spend this season tentmaking in order to provide for a future life of ministry I want to ask for your prayer support. I know that while working to provide for a ministry is good I could have so much more freedom to do what God has called me to do if I were to go into full time ministry, and I can’t do this alone. Will you please join my team and bring light to the 1.2 billion Muslims around the world who has never heard the gospel? I plan to get involved in the prison ministry in Taiwan while I wait for God to send me to Europe, but I think God could be preparing me to minister to Muslims in prison in Europe as well. Having received Christ in prison myself I want to relate that experience with prisoners who may have given up all hope and give them freedom.

Amen.
